FOREWORD

This E-Portfolio is created mainly to follow, assess and evaluate the professional progress and development in Educ 216/SE 201 (Advanced Educational Statistics) subject and the development of ICT as incorporated in the subject.

This site offers greatly emphasis on the collection of data or artifacts as documented to show support on the learnings acquired. Furthermore, it also provides published documents on the reaction and/or reflection made out of the learning experiences observed inside the class.

Lesson No. 3: Focus on Measures of Central Location

On this Lesson, the topics involve the following: Mean; Median; Mode; Weighted Mean; Grand Mean and Point Measures or Measures of central Tendency for nominal and Ordinal Data and Percentile as a Measure of Location (group and ungrounded). The reporter presented the topic very well. He conveys and directs us to the gist of his topic.

Although this topic, jog-out our memory the basic or the introduction of Statistics or Elementary Statistics in college. Only with the additional skills being offered this is the integration of computer in solving the data given. Though, in school where we assigned to teach, we already incorporate computer in solving grades and other data that needs computation through the use of Microsoft excel but only in limited basis.

Now, it became much more interesting, especially when it is presented in power point presentation or with the use of multimedia. This is what our professor is telling us. Dr Ava Clare Marie O. Robles ,our Educ 216 instructor, she has so many things for us to discover especially using the multimedia in taking her class. The conventional way may give us erroneous and vigorous way of preparation. And with this, I AGREE with her. Going back to the reporter, the lesson’s he presented made a great deal on the next reporters for he manages to create a good sample power point presentation. You are very good sir! I salute you for that. Keep it up.
